Your questions

Why should I pay my ground rent or rentcharge?

If you do not pay your ground rent or rentcharge, your home is at risk. While repossession is rare and sometimes dependant on covenants, Morgoed Estates will begin enforcement proceedings in cases of non-payment. In all cases we will first issue a reminder letter. You will be liable for our costs in issuing this reminder. If the account is not settled we have various options open to us including court action, repossession notices and recovery of the rent and costs from your mortgage company. Please note that if your mortgage company settles the account, you will be liable for their charges.
